A Whole Home to Melbourne, in Three Containers
Our client was furnishing a new home in Melbourne and wanted one thing: furniture chosen in Foshan, delivered into their rooms — without managing a single step in between.
The order filled two 40ft containers and one 20ft: sofas, wardrobes, dining furniture, and a marble dining table. Everything was consolidated at our Foshan warehouse, where each piece was packed to maritime standard — the marble table in a full plywood crate, the rest in braced wooden frames.
We booked the containers, filed export customs in China, and managed clearance into Australia under DDP terms. When Australian customs pulled the shipment for an X-ray inspection — a three-day delay — our team handled it end to end. The client's only task was choosing a delivery date.
About thirty days after sailing, the crates arrived at the house. The delivery crew unloaded into the garage, unpacked every piece, assembled the large items — sofas, wardrobes, the marble table — and cleared all packing debris before leaving. The client signed for a furnished home, not a stack of boxes.
