Materials & construction

A square timber block with a strongly figured grain is inlaid with fine vertical metal lines, and the top splits to open. It sits on a slim black metal stem and round foot, so the cube appears to hover like a small sculpture.

The warm wood against the black base makes the contrast. Made to order; sizes and finishes can be customised.
